UPCOMING CLASSES & RETREATS
Classes at Houston Zen Center are taught by the Abbot, Gaelyn Godwin, and by senior members of HZC. There is a modest charge for classes but scholarships are readily available. No one is turned away for lack of funds. Send questions about scholarships or costs to the office.
Classes are open to everyone and are generally designed for all levels of practice experience from beginners to experienced meditators, unless otherwise specified in the class description.
Series of 4 classes Tuesdays April 7 - 28. 6:30-8:30 pm. Taught by Joy Tensho Tober and Zack Hōdō Becker..
Series of 4 classes Mondays April 20 - May 11. 6:30-8:30 pm. Taught by Zen Priest Shindō Neely Atkinson.
Welcome the birds and creatures of Spring and Summer on the Land with a day of practice together.
5 Thursdays: May 14 - June 11; 7-8:30 pm. A 5-class series on Zen meditation.
Intensive Practice Period led by Konjin Godwin and Head Student Kagen Leo Golub. Practice Period is an on-going opportunity to deepen practice with individually designed schedules along with one-day sittings, classes, and meetings with the Shuso/Head Student.
