UPCOMING CLASSES & RETREATS
Classes at Houston Zen Center are taught by the Abbot, Gaelyn Godwin, and by senior members of HZC. There is a modest charge for classes but scholarships are readily available. No one is turned away for lack of funds. Send questions about scholarships or costs to the office.
Classes are open to everyone and are generally designed for all levels of practice experience from beginners to experienced meditators, unless otherwise specified in the class description.

Annual meeting of HZC membership. Review of 2024, and a look at 2025.
Celebration of the Year 2024 at Houston Zen Center. President Royce Johnson and Abbot Gaelyn Godwin. Followed by the annual General Meeting of HZC.
Celebrate the New Year with meditation and tea. Doors open at 7:45 pm, sitting begins at 8:00 p.m. and continues until 10:30 pm.
Contemplating the Divine. Visit the Museum of Fine Arts, 6:30-7:30 pm. with Rev. Gyōzan Royce Johnson.
5 Tuesdays, January 7-February 4, 6:30-8:30 pm. Taught by Jika Gayle Klaybor
5 Thursdays: January 9 - February 6, 2025; 7-8:30 pm.A 5-class series on Zen meditation.
