 Welcome to the Zoom Zendo of Houston Zen Center

The Center is opening step-by-step as more people are fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated participants are warmly invited to join Zazen and the Sunday Program in person. If you join virtually, through the Zoom Zendo, please set up a meditation place in your home where you can follow the program. Your participation will add to the meditative strength of the practice, for the benefit of all beings. Some classes are now open for in-person attendance for fully vaccinated participants. Each event will contain the information about the availability of in-person participation.


Morning Zazen: Join the residents for morning zazen at 5:50 am. Use 108 as the code to enter. Fully vaccinated folks are welcome to attend in person.There are two periods of zazen, with a period of kinhin, walking meditation in the middle.

Saturday Morning Zazen: 8:20 - 9:00 followed by a brief service. Use 108 as the code to enter. Fully vaccinated participants are welcome to attend in person.

Afternoon Zazen, Monday - Thursday: Join Rev. Gyōzan Royce Johnson for in-person zazen or join through the zoom link. Use 108 as the code to enter. Afternoon Zazen: Monday-Thursday, 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm.

Sunday Morning Sangha: Welcome to the full Sunday program. Join for service at 8:20, Zazen at 8:50, Dharma Talk at 9:45. Discussion and dialogue follows the dharma talk. This link will be active from 8:15 am - 11:30 am, Central time.


Queer Dharma Group We meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30. Email Andrew or Wade for the password and join the meeting on March 9 at 6:30 here.
