In this class we will read The Holy Teachings of Vimalakirti, which the important scholar and Tibetan practitioner Robert Thurman calls a “masterfully faceted diamond”.
Vimalakirti, a lay practitioner, and a man of the world resolves the apparent opposition of relative reality with ultimate reality. This beautifully written text has the effect of opening our minds and hearts to the miracle that is ultimate reality right here in our everyday living.

Maite is a senior member of HZC. She served as the Shuso / Head Monk, of the 2023 Practice Period of Every Day Life. She recently retired as an art protector and restorer at MFAH. Her Dharma Name means Orchid of the Mountains.
