5 Mondays: September 11 - October 9. Taught by Abbot Gaelyn Godwin and co-Tanto Vicki Glenn.
Much of our fear arises from fear of death. An essential part of spiritual practice is to face the fact of our inevitable death and prepare for it. To do this can be a gift to our family and friends. The classes include Buddhist meditations on death, writing advance directives, learning about the biological facts of death, and watching a few compelling videos.
The first class provides (a) an introduction to the topic, (b) a presentation of Buddhist teachings on death and dying; and (c) meditation and practices. You may attend one or all of the classes. New material will be covered in each class. This will be an in-person class. A virtual class will be offered separately.
5 Mondays: September 11 - October 9. $150 for the series; $50 per class. HZC Members: $60 for the series; $25 per class
