Mindfulness, an intensified and broadened form of attention, is increasingly embraced in the contemporary world as a practice that brings peace and self-awareness.
This class focuses on the Satipatthana Sutta, the well known main source for Buddhist teachings on mindfulness and its place in the Buddhist path.
Establishing mindfulness with practices on the breath, body, mind, mental activities – thoughts and feelings – can bring peace, self-awareness and liberation.
The text for the class, Transformation and Healing: Sutra on the Four Establishments of Mindfulness, by Thich Nhat Hanh, is available for purchase at the Center, or online.
