"In a world of conflict and strife, how can we be advocates of peace and justice?"
This class will explore the Buddha’s teachings that connect the individual with the community. We will read from a wide range of sutras, exploring the ways we can bring Buddhist practice into the arena of interpersonal relationships and communal and political action.
Tricia McFarlin is the President of the Board of Directors of HZC and holds a doctorate in English Literature. She teaches English Literature at Awty International School.
Judson Dunn is the Vice President of the Board of Directors of HZC, the membership coordinator and one HZC's technical advisors. He also supports the Department of Pathology’s software at MD Anderson.
Each class begins with meditation.
