Making Sense of Mind Only: Why Yogacara Buddhism Matters

Hekizan Daniel Davison

Purchase text from Wisdom Publications here.

A series of 6 Monday Classes February 23 - March 30, 2026

6:30-8:30 pm.  Taught by Hekisan Daniel Davison

Yogacara Buddhism speaks to how we conceptualize and construct our lived reality. While Madhyamika points to the emptiness of all phenomena, Yogacara points to the emptiness of the duality of subject and object.

Through our habits and conditioned ways of perceiving, we project our own self-referential biases onto our experience, constructing interpretations of events that often are at odds with the fluid world of our base perceptions.

In this class we will examine this powerful way to study ourselves by exploring how our habit formations shape who we are and guide how we construct worlds in which to play and suffer.

Readings are taken from Making Sense of Mind Only. The text can be purchased through Wisdom Publications or other booksellers online.

Zoom participation will also be available.  The link will be provided before the class begins.
