The Path of Exploration

Explore Zen through the writings of Dogen Zenji in the Treasury of the True Dharma Eye.

Each Sunday, the dharma speaker will refer to one of the chapters in this important text. The references might be brief, or extensive. We hope to make these teachings more accessible and useful for Zen explorers.

Find the list of upcoming chapters here. The order of the list is based on the most recent translation by the Soto Zen Text Translation group. There are two other highly recommended translations. One recent translation is by Kaz Tanahashi, and one more is by Gudo Nishijima. Please feel free to read ahead. You can find copies in the HZC library reserve area.
