July 27: One Day Saturday Sesshin

Shuso KoUn Matthew Brownlie leads a day of intensive practice. Practicing together in a day of sesshin allows us to continue to develop and deepen practice. The sesshin will be in-person at Houston Zen Center.
Wait list is open through Thursday July 25. The cut off date for signing up is Wednesday morning July 24 at 11 am.

The sitting was originally planned for members of the Spring Practice Period of Every Day Life, but it was canceled during the derecho storm. Everyone is welcome to apply.

The day will be focused on zazen and the practice of presence. Zazen can ground and support us, everyone around us, and the whole world, allowing us to open to the teachings of wisdom and compassion. The day includes zazen (sitting meditation), kinhin (walking meditation), a dharma talk with discussion, and formal oryoki meal practice. Beginners are encouraged to contact the co-Tantos before signing up.

If you have any questions, please contact the co-Tantos, Gayle Klaybor or Vicki Glenn.
