The ceremony for Louise will be rescheduled to May or June in order to accommodate some of Louise’s friends’ travel plans.

On a date to be announced, Houston Zen Center will observe the 100 Day Ceremony for Louise Dreyfus, a Lay Entrusted Dharma Teacher and co-founder of Houston Zen Center. This ceremony marks 100 days after Louise’s passing on January 6.

In this traditional ceremony, Louise’s beloved sangha will honor her by making offerings and chanting as a protection for Louise throughout lifetimes to come.

During the ceremony, the Abbot, senior members, and friends of Louise will be invited to speak. A reception follows the ceremony.
