Menzan Zenji’s Self-Enjoyment Samadhi
In this retreat, we can examine together and discuss some highlights from the treatise on Self-Enjoyment Samadhi by a great 18th century Soto Zen teacher. It was written for his devoted lay disciples to clarify the practice of zazen.
Kokyo Roshi is the Tanto / Head of Practice of Green Gulch Farm Zen Center. He is the former Abiding Teacher of Santa Cruz Zen Center in Santa Cruz, California and a dharma heir of Tenshin Reb Anderson.
