May 27: One Day Saturday Sesshin

Zen Priest Tim Schorre leads a day of intensive practice. Practicing together in a day of sesshin allows us to continue to develop and deepen practice. The sesshin will be in-person at Houston Zen Center. A zoom link will be provided for those who are unable to attend in person. The cut off date for signing up is Wednesday morning May 24 at 11 am. Otherwise, it is not possible to guarantee sending the zoom link to late sign ups.

The sitting is especially for members of the Practice Period of Every Day Life, but everyone is welcome to apply.

The day will be focused on zazen and the practice of presence. Zazen can ground and support us, everyone around us, and the whole world, allowing us to open to the teachings of wisdom and compassion. The day includes zazen (sitting meditation), kinhin (walking meditation), a dharma talk with discussion, and formal oryoki meal practice. Beginners are encouraged to contact the co-Tantos before signing up.

If you have any questions, please contact the co-Tantos, Gayle Klaybor or Vicki Glenn.

The Zoom link and password will be provided after you sign up. This will be a warm and positive way to continue our practice together.
