Houston Zen Center and Dawn Mountain are honored to present Myokei Caine-Barrett Shonin as the lead speaker of our on-going series of events on Dharma and Social Justice.
This event will be an illuminating and inspiring conversation exploring how Myokei Caine-Barrett Shonin became the first woman, as well as first woman of African American and Japanese descent, to be ordained as a priest of Nichiren Order in the United States. Houston Zen Center's Gaelyn Godwin Roshi and Dawn Mountain's Lama Harvey Aronson will be hosting this exciting collaborative donation-based event and there will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.
The questions will be moderated by HZC Senior Member Troy Porter.
