Dharma Talk by Kyoshin Anna Gonzalez. Anna's dharma name is Kyoshin, Bridge of Truth. She is a long-time student of Zen.
Dharma Talk by Kokyo Henkel, Roshi, the former Abiding Teacher of Santa Cruz Zen Center. Kokyo Roshi trained for more than 19 years at San Francisco Zen Center and in Japan before taking up the responsibility of Santa Cruz Zen Center in 2002. He is currently on retreat at Crestone Mountain Zen Center before relocating to Nepal.
Dharma Talk by Rev. Hondo Dave Rutschman, Shuso/Head Student of the 2018-2019 Practice Period. Hondo is also a therapist in private practice, a grief counselor, and a parent to two children, and a poet and writer.

Brad returns to Houston Zen Center! But not yet in person. This will be a zoom talk and discussion.
Brad Warner is the author of Letters to a Dead Friend About Zen, Hardcore Zen, Sit Down and Shut Up, Don’t Be a Jerk, and several other books. He was ordained a Zen Buddhist monk by Gudo Nishijima Roshi. He grew up in Akron, Ohio and Nairobi, Kenya.
He has practiced Zen for over 30 years. He plays bass in the hardcore punk band Zero Defex. For 11 years, he worked in Japan for the company founded by creator of Godzilla. He’s appeared in the film Zombie Bounty Hunter M.D. and there is a documentary about him titled Brad Warner’s Hardcore Zen.

Dharma Talk by Eileen Kyōgetsu Dwyer, Vice President of the Board of HZC. Eileen is a Founding Partner of the Rice University Center for the Study of Women, Gender, & Sexuality; a former member of the Board of Annie’s List, and a speech-language pathologist with over 30 years of experience. Eileen’s dharma name means Moonlight Mirror.
Isshin Glen and Abbot Gaelyn Godwin
Dharma Talk by Zen Priest and senior member of HZC, Isshin Glen Snyder. Isshin (Whole Hearted) was ordained at Houston Zen Center in 2012. He currently lives in Tokyo, where he has been based for 6 years. He completed Ango (training period) at Toshoji monastery in Japan. He works on research, and guides other researchers, at Gakushuin University in Tokyo and at the Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute at the University of Tokyo. He served in many roles at HZC, including Ino, and lived in residence at the temple before moving to Japan.
