NEW TO ZEN MEDITATION

Houston Zen Center offers a number of classes especially
for beginners to meditation. Most classes are accessible
for beginners as well as advanced practitioners but
these are especially helpful for new meditators.

One Hour Introduction - First Wednesday of the Month

On the first Wednesday of each month, an introduction to Zen meditation evening is offered by Zen Center leaders Gayle Klaybor, Rev. Royce Johnson, or Mary Carol Edwards. The evening begins at 6:30 pm, in person at the center, and is open to fully vaccinated participants. There is no charge.

Introduction to Zen Meditation - class series

This popular series resumes this month for the first time during the pandemic. The series is open to fully vaccinated participants. The series of five classes on the basics of meditation, including mindfulness, is offered by the Abbot Gaelyn Godwin and Zen Priest Royce Johnson throughout the year. The series is $100, scholarships are readily available, no one is turned away because of financial challenges.

Sunday Program

The Sunday program includes an introduction to newcomers at 9:20. The "Greeter" meets you at the door and will answer any questions you have throughout the morning.
